Collecting can co-ordinators are responsible for servicing CHAS collecting cans in businesses in their local areas.  This means replacing full cans, as well as counting and banking the money on behalf of CHAS.

Friends to have a Presence in Fort William Station

We are delighted to announce that  Friends of Nevis is to have a display in the heart of Fort William station concourse during the summer season. The portable display will be in operation between approximately 9.15 and 10.45 each morning, to cover the very busy period around the arrival of the sleeper train and departure of the Jacobite Steam Train. First ScotRail has agreed to this arrangement on a trial basis and we very much hope this will be the start of a long and fruitful association.

Our stand will display information about the Friends and also give us an opportunity to sell some of our small items of merchandise. Of course we now need VOLUNTEERS to staff the stand, so please have a look at our activities and opportunities page for more information on how you can help. This is a fantastic opportunity to spread the word about Friends of Nevis, so if you feel you can spare 90 mins now and then, please help us to get the stand up and running on a daily basis...one thing is certain, we'll be kept very busy and will get to meet and chat with lots of people from all around the world!
