Make A Difference Day Lochaber 2007

On Wednesday

glorious sunshine,

 16 volunteers

helped plant 700 bulbs in the grounds of An Drochaid home to the voluntary sector in Lochaber.

 

 

This was as part of CSV Make a Difference Day is the 's biggest day of volunteering. Last year was a huge success with 120,000 people throughout the taking part in community projects.  This particular project was a partnership between Voluntary Action Lochaber, Volunteer Centre Lochaber and the Area Conservation Team Lochaber, and was special as it involved people of all abilities. 

Special thanks must go to the Council and the Rotary club for helping donate money towards equipment and a Thank you lunch for all the volunteers.  Flora McKee said of the day “Thanks to everyone who took part and we really look forward to the bulbs coming out in the Spring and making a difference to the grounds of An Drochaid”.
