Training A successful training programme is an essential cog in the machine of any organisation whether in the voluntary, public or private sector. There are many reasons why it is essential to ensure a properly trained staff: for example, improving productivity and efficiency, to meet legal requirements (Health & safety), accreditation requirements (IIP) or for personal development reasons.Volunteering Highland is committed to providing relevant and affordable training to voluntary sector and other organisations. Working in partnership with the trainers at VH Training, courses are provided on a range of subjects such as First Aid, Health & Safety (including Manual Handling), Public Speaking, Mentoring, Teamwork and Leadership. Most training is based in our training suite within Volunteering Highland although some subjects, such as Teamwork or Leadership Skills, can also utilise the great outdoors as the training environment.  Voluntary sector organisations registered with Volunteering Highland receive advance notification of course dates and are offered training at a subsidised price and other public and private organisations can also be added to the mailing list.
